Moving your Novel from your Head to your Hand

A Workshop at The Cabin

Judith McConnell Steele, author and poet, and Elaine Ambrose, author and publisher, will present a three-hour workshop on writing and publishing a novel. The workshop will be Saturday, November 16 from 10:00 am until 1:00 pm at The Cabin located at 801 S. Capitol Blvd. in Boise.

The cost is $35 – or $30 for Cabin members – and includes an autographed copy of The Angel of Esperança, written by Steele and published by Ambrose’s Mill Park Publishing.

Steele will facilitate short writing exercises for participants, and she also will describe her journey from writing her manuscript to holding the finished book. Ambrose will discuss format, designs, reviews, promotion, and costs of publication.

The workshop is open to writers beginning a novel as well as those with completed manuscripts. Participants should bring a few pages of their novel they want to rework, their writing instrument of choice, and a willingness to explore. Space is limited, so please complete the registration form and mail before November 8. There will be registration at the door if space is available. The workshop is sponsored by The Cabin and Mill Park Publishing. A portion of the proceeds from the sale of the novel will be donated to the Writers in the Schools Program sponsored by The Cabin.
